Slow Boat to Sicily

I just arrived back from a wonderful five and a half weeks of 'slow travel' to - and around - Sicily and would love to share some of the details with you. So if you would like to read about where we went and what we saw, you will find my trip report and pictures at: http://www.elderwoman.org/sicily2011.html

What a fabulous trip and you were smart to give yourself so much time to appreciate Sicily. It's on our "to do" list, for sure. So many Italians rave about Sicily and recommend spending time there. Your photos made me even more eager to go.

Fantastico! Brava, bravissima. What a wonderful travelogue. I spent two weeks in Sicily many years ago and although I lived in Milan for eight years and have returned to Italy (settentrionale) many times I have never gone back to Sicily. It's on my "bucketlist" now - maybe next spring.
